DEB
CATALDO
I had a late start into the
world of horses. It wasn't until age 50, when I saw an
opportunity to own my first horse. I went for it! My age
wasn't going to keep me from a life long dream. In July of
'09, frustrated over my lack of success in finding a good
trainer, I began taking riding lessons with Becca GT at
PondView. It didn't take long to realize that her expertise
and effective style of teaching was what I needed to
progress with my riding. My horse Tye became a new resident
at Pondview and together we began work in Becca's lesson
program. I'm thrilled that it's been steady progress since
then! My most memorable moment? It's difficult to nail it
down to just one , because my entire experience at PVEC has
been very positive and filled with many achievements. I'm
proud to be associated with PVEC! |

LAURA HAUSER
I'm 15 and been riding at
PondView for over 7 years. My favorite moment with Pondview
definitely has to be winning first place at the Woodstock
Fair this year on Heartley in Senior Horse Pleasure out of
26 riders. I was not expecting it at all since this was my
first year riding in the fair and showing against so many
other riders. My mom had even given me a talk before the
weekend started about how I shouldn't be disappointed if I
didn't place in a class. I still get chills just thinking
about that win! |

JULIA EDDY
I'm 15 and been at Pondview
for 7 years. Sometimes I'll place well in a class with my
mare, sometimes I won't. But when I go into a class and
deliver a ride that I know I am proud of even if we didn't
place, that is what I would consider my favorite moment on a
horse. Without Pondview and Becca GT, I'm not sure if I
would have gotten to this point in my riding career and be
able to say I have so many favorite moments. |

JEN LAPORTE

I've been riding at Pondview
Equestrian Center for 15 years with some time off in
between. Some of my most cherished memories were at this
farm. I started out ridding at PVEC as a Junior rider and
had many successful show seasons competing on the Arabian A
Circuit. During my years competing as a JTR at PVEC, I was
able to learn from Becca some of the "ins and outs" of
training horses and instructing. Becca provides thorough
instruction with attention to detail, while keeping in mind
that the main reason why we ride is to have fun. After
taking some time off, I've returned to PVEC as an adult
rider and part- time instructor at the barn. I continue to
learn more every day and enjoy the comradeship at the barn.
I'm looking forward to many more exciting times at PVEC.

I love that even though I'm
not one of the clients that competes in shows, Becca still
kicks my butt in lessons to make sure I do everything right!
I love the people I ride with, we all learn a lot but have
so much fun with each other! |
